Andy Chase is a New York based producer and engineer, as well as a 
multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. As a member of the band 
Ivy, he has written, engineered and produced 5 LP's, an EP, and a 
Melody Maker single-of-the-week 7". His individual songs, (both as 
Ivy and Brookville), have been placed in hit movies like 
There's Something About Mary, Me Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, 
Insomnia, Orange County, television series like Felicity, Roswell, 
Charmed, Alias, Nip/Tuck, CSI, Six Feet Under, and commercials 
such as Volkswagen, Macy's and Holland America Cruise Lines. His 
outside credits, however, reveal the true diversity of his talents. 
He co-produced and engineered both the original demo and much of 
the final version of the title track of Tom Hanks' film 
"That Thing You Do", he produced and engineered Tahiti 80's 
debut album Puzzle, which was an immediate hit (#1 gold in Japan), 
and he has written and produced numerous songs for Japanese mega-star 
Chara. He most recently created a solo project under the name 
Brookville, releasing two albums in the past few years, both of 
which have continued to be KCRW favorites.  He has worked with 
such notable artists as The Smashing Pumpkins, Fountains Of Wayne, 
Trash Can Sinatras, Juliana Hatfield, Divine Comedy, as well as 
having recorded and mixed New Radiant Storm Kings' split single 
with Guided By Voices. Andy's experience as a band member and 
songwriter, and his expertise as a seasoned engineer, allows 
him to work closely with artists in whatever capacity they desire, 
whether helping to arrange and flesh out song ideas or to simply 
achieve a certain sound on their recordings.
